Jonathan Hawkins
Last seen in South Florida with Andrea Bocelli’s One Night in Central Park: Revisted, Jonathan Hawkins is thrilled be back in Broward County and performing at Artopia.
Living between New York and Los Angeles, Jonathan Hawkins has had the privilege of performing around the world. From the Cathedral of Notre Dame to Lincoln Center, the ancient Greek Theatre at Epidaurus to the world famous Birdland Jazz Club, Hawkins has become one of the most sought after crossover tenors with his “tour de force” voice.
Internationally, Hawkins has toured as a featured soloist in Dvorak’s Stabat Mater, Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and Faure’s Requiem. Additionally, a few of Jonathan’s opera credits include Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Dido and Aeneas, and The Ballad of Baby Doe.
Actively involved in the New York and Los Angeles theatre communities, Jonathan’s favorite theatre credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, All Shook Up, Sweeney Todd. He was also seen in the New York Premiere of the London hit, Legacy Falls.
Most recently, Hawkins had the privilege of working with Barbara Cook, Jennifer Holliday, Shirley Jones, Linda Lavin, Billy Porter, and Bernadette Peters as part of Provincetown’s 2015 Broadway Series.
